Earth NOW in collaboration w/ The Desert Sun & One Nation (Spring 2016)

'Earth NOW' is a four part series about the Energy Revolution, climate change, ecosystems, species, water and sustainability that prompts the public, cities, states and countries to act faster on protecting the planet. KCOD worked in collaboration with The Desert Sun and One Nation (organized by The USA Today Network & The Desert Sun) to develop the podcast leading up to the One Nation climate change event that was held at Sunnylands in The Coachella Valley on April 20th, 2016. One Nation is hosting 10 events across the country that each focus on an important issue in the 2016 election.

The first episode of the ‘Earth NOW’ series is ‘Energy Revolution NOW.' The communication around climate change needs to shift. Climate change and global warming are what is happening, but we need to move away from the debate and politics of climate change and discuss what comes next. What we are going to do about it... is an Energy Revolution, and not by 2030 or 2050, but NOW.
FOUR PART SERIES:

Episode 01: Energy Revolution NOW
Episode 02: Nature at Risk: What is Your 'Place'
Episode 03: Water: Hydrate Your Mind
Episode 04: Sustain This: Help NOW

EARTH NOW: EPISODE 01: ENERGY REVOLUTION NOW - The communication around climate change needs to shift. Climate change and global warming are what is happening, but we need to move away from the debate and politics of climate change and discuss what comes next. What we are going to do about it... is an Energy Revolution, and not by 2030 or 2050, but NOW. Join us for interviews with students, reporters, leaders and more.

EARTH NOW: EPISODE 02: NATURE AT RISK - On this episode of 'Earth Now' we discuss ecosystems and species in trouble due to climate change and what you can do to help the Earth Now. We connect you to the Energy Revolution and climate change by discussing what your special 'Place' is in nature. A Place where you created an environmental narrative over time that shaped your relationship with nature. The Place you can think of when you are joining us to help the Earth Now.

EARTH NOW: EPISODE 03: WATER: HYDRATE YOUR MIND - On this episode of 'Earth Now' we talk about all things WATER: where it comes from, how it gets in our hands and how the resource is at risk due to climate change. We often take for granted our access to clean water, and after listening to this episode, you may never look at your glass of water the same way again.

EARTH NOW: EPISODE 04: SUSTAIN THIS: HELP NOW - On this final episode of Earth Now, we discuss how you can be more sustainable on an individual level as well as your college, to help the Earth Now.
